At a renewable energy investment ceremony in Ankara, Erdogan emphasized reducing permit times for projects from 48 to 18 months and simplifying regulations. He highlighted Türkiye’s progress, noting it ranks fifth in Europe and 11th globally in installed renewable energy capacity.

Erdogan also mentioned that Türkiye's installed power capacity reached 118,185 megawatts in March, with renewables accounting for 60%. The country’s solar power capacity has grown from zero in 2005 to 21,833 megawatts today. He outlined plans for a green transmission infrastructure and a significant offshore wind push, aiming for 5,000 megawatts by 2035.

In 2024, renewable energy investments are set to save 12.5 million tons of CO2, with 98% of new projects coming from renewable sources. Erdogan stressed the importance of local manufacturing and job creation in the sector, with 500 companies now active compared to just 27 in 2014.
