Sofia will host a renewable fuel awareness event this Friday as part of the European initiative Tour d'Europe, the Bulgarian Petroleum and Gas Association (BPGA) announced. Co-organized by BPGA and FuelsEurope, the event will take place at Knyaz Alexander Battenberg Square from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m, CE Report quotes BTA

High-profile attendees include Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Zafirov, Transport Minister Grozdan Karadjov, Energy Minister Zhecho Stankov, and Sofia’s Deputy Mayor for Environment Nadezhda Bobcheva.

The Tour d’Europe involves internal combustion vehicles traveling across 20 EU countries from February to June 2025, with local events promoting renewable fuels. The Sofia stop highlights the role of technological neutrality in achieving climate goals. The tour will conclude with a final report presentation at the European Parliament on June 23.
