New solar power plant lights up Slovenia

A new solar power plant has been officially inaugurated near Kanalski Vrh in western Slovenia.

It is located next to the Avče pumped-storage hydro power plant, CE Report quotes STA.

The project was launched by the state-owned power producer Soške Elektrarne Nova Gorica (SENG).

The solar plant is expected to generate 3.3 gigawatt hours of electricity annually.
