Macron comments on recent theft at Louvre Museum

"The theft committed at the Louvre is an attack on a heritage dear to us because it is our History," wrote French President Emmanuel Macron in a social media post, commenting on the recent theft at the Louvre Museum, CE Report quotes ANSA.

"We will recover the artworks, and those responsible will be brought to justice," he added. "Everything is being done, everywhere, to achieve this, under the direction of the Paris prosecutor's office."

Referring to his Louvre Nouvelle Renaissance renovation plan, the president emphasized that it includes a strengthening of security measures:

"It will guarantee the preservation and protection of what constitutes our memory and our culture."
