Thunderstorm with hail, strong winds batters North Macedonia

A thunderstorm hit Skopje and Kumanovo, accompanied by strong winds and hail, the Hydrometeorological Service of North Macedonia has said.

Skopje Mayor Orce Gjorgjievski says the City of Skopje Crisis HQ, alongside all competent services and public enterprises, is fully mobilized and prepared for a swift and timely intervention, CE Report quotes MIA.

"All capacities are put at disposal, for the purpose of protecting the citizens and preventing more damage," Mayor Gjorgjievski wrote in a Facebook post.

He adds that the City of Skopje is in continued coordination with the Crisis Management Center, the Ministry of Interior, EVN power company, the fire brigade and other institutions.
