Moldova’s State Tax Service (SFS) collected approximately 1.1 billion lei for the national public budget between June 8 and June 12, 2026, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES.

During the reporting period, SFS employees carried out 289 tax inspections involving 225 taxpayers. The General Control Directorate also issued 107 decisions concerning violations of tax legislation, resulting in additional budget obligations totaling 14.7 million lei, including taxes, fees, late-payment penalties, and fines.

At the same time, 96 decisions were issued regarding VAT refunds from the state budget, approving VAT reimbursements amounting to 70.3 million lei.

The SFS also collected 55.62 million lei from taxpayers with outstanding debts through enforcement measures.

In addition, during the previous week, the institution registered 28 new cases involving confiscated assets valued at 809,200 lei. During the same period, 176,390 lei was transferred to the state budget from the sale of confiscated property.
