ITA Airways extends Tel Aviv flight suspension

In light of the current situation in the Middle East, ITA Airways has extended the suspension of flights to and from Tel Aviv until April 9 (including flight AZ809 on April 10), CE Report quotes ANSA.

The airline “has also been forced to extend the suspension of flights to and from Dubai until March 28.”

In a statement, ITA explained that Dubai airports are significantly reducing the number of flights due to capacity constraints, and airlines within the Lufthansa Group have had to cancel all flights during the mentioned period.

The Lufthansa Group “will assess” to what extent it will be possible to operate individual flights despite strict restrictions. Requests will be reviewed by authorities in the United Arab Emirates on a case-by-case basis; therefore, “there is no guarantee that a requested flight or schedule will be approved,” ITA noted.

Passengers can request rebooking on an alternative flight or a ticket refund, the airline added.
