Albania sees steady rise in foreign tourists through 2025
Foreign tourist arrivals to Albania rose around 7% to 11,137,328 visitors between January and October 2025, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports Blendi Gonxhja said.
Gonxhja said 908,642 visitors were recorded in October alone, calling it evidence of Albania’s shift toward year-round tourism and away from a strictly summer-season model, CE Report quotes ATA.
He highlighted the country’s long coastline – including Velipojë, Shëngjin, Durrës, Vlorë, Himarë and Sarandë – which draws both domestic and foreign tourists during the summer months.
Historic and cultural destinations such as Gjirokastër, Berat, Butrint, Krujë, Tirana and Shkodër attract visitors throughout the year.
Gonxhja said Albania’s terrain supports all-season tourism, noting rising numbers in northern mountain villages and expanding infrastructure for adventure tourism.
The country’s rivers, lagoons and national parks also continue to draw international visitors.
