Italy reveals top attraction of 2024

The Colosseum and its archaeological park continue to be a major draw for both Italian and international visitors. With nearly 15 million visitors (14,733,395) and over 100 million euros in revenue (€101,902,884.50), it remains the most visited site or museum in Italy in 2024, taking the gold medal, CE Report quotes ANSA.

According to data from SISTAN, the statistical service of the Ministry of Culture (MiC), published on the ministry's website, 2024 has been a record-breaking year: over 60 million visitors nationwide (up 5.3%) and almost 400 million euros in total revenue (€382,004,344).

On the podium, in second place, is the Uffizi Gallery, which welcomed over 5 million visitors (5,294,968) and generated nearly 62 million euros (€61,943,626) in revenue in 2024.

Third place goes to Pompeii, whose archaeological park attracted more than 4 million visitors (4,267,233), collecting over 55 million euros (€55,291,542) in ticket sales.
