Albania's Himara officially opens its tourist season on May 2 with the two-day festival “Magic Over the Ionian.”

As part of the season opening, a series of diverse activities will be held, CE Report quotes ATA.

The first event took place at 9:00 AM, featuring the world and Guinness record holder Agim Agushi. After many international successes, Agushi was in Himara where he achieved his 16th world record in ball juggling with his head while wearing 14 shirts in a space of just 1 square meter.

During a performance in the center of the coastal city, Agushi succeeded in earning the world certificate, leaving a mark of his success in the seaside town.

"This is the 16th record, achieved in Himara, in a discipline requested by the Guinness Book headquarters in London: putting on 14 shirts while juggling a ball and standing in a space of 1 square meter. From today, Himara will be in the Guinness Book. I will present the certificate bearing Himara’s name to the mayor," said Agim Agushi.

The mayor of Himara expressed his happiness that Agim Agushi chose Himara for this record, marking a successful start to the tourist season.

“It is a pleasure for me and for Himara. This will not just be Agim’s record, but Agim Agushi’s record in Himara,” said Vangjel Tavo.

Agim Agushi is also a Guinness record holder in other freestyle disciplines, having surpassed the Polish competitor Dariusz Kolodziczyk.

Additionally, Himara’s mayor Vangjel Tavo visited the fair held in the heart of Himara called “Taste, Art and Tradition.”

The season-opening fairs bring local products, artisanal crafts, and vibrant colors that reflect the spirit of the south, Tavo emphasized in a social media post.
