Minister of the Environment, Waterways and Forestry Mircea Fechet said on Thursday in Tulcea that as far as he knew, water in the Black Sea is safe for swimming, CE Report quotes Agerpres

"At this moment there is no danger. I have been informed since the start of this phenomenon, because there is a dispatch within the Ministry of the Environment, Waterways and Forestry where the Environmental Protection Agency of the respective county, most of the time, or the Environmental Guard, the county commissariat or any other institution reports such phenomena. I think that it is important, on the one hand, to identify the situation exactly (...) and there is the obligation on the part of the authorities to prevent and communicate to the people who may be affected in order to take measures in real time. As far as I know today, there is no danger for tourists," said Fechet.
