Moldova claims gold at European U20 Wrestling Championships
Moldovan freestyle wrestler Maxim Dimov claimed the gold medal in the 65 kg category at the European U20 Wrestling Championships in Skopje.
Dimov defeated Zorab Aloiev of Ukraine, Aleksandar Delchev of Bulgaria, Khizir Dasiyev of France, and Aren Hayrapetyan of Armenia on his way to the European title, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES.
In the 70 kg category, Ionuț Triboi won the bronze medal after defeating Georgia's Zurab Abalaki in the bronze medal match.
In the women's competition, Mădălina Prisacari (59 kg) and Alexandra Moisei (72 kg) also secured bronze medals for Moldova.
