Alphonso Davies ruled out of Canada’s World Cup opener
Canada national football team defender and captain Alphonso Davies has not yet fully recovered from his injury.
He will not play in his team’s opening World Cup match against Bosnia, head coach Jesse Marsch said in a statement.
The match will take place tonight in Toronto, CE Report quotes STA.
The captain’s armband will be worn by defensive midfielder Stephen Eustáquio.
