Greece makes history with first-ever win over Germany in UEFA Nations League
The "golden generation" of Greek football, led by Ivan Jovanovic, achieved something unprecedented by beating Germany for the first time in history in Augsburg on Matchday 2 of the UEFA Nations League.
Greece scored a 74th-minute goal through Dimitris Kourbelis and tops Group 2 with six points from two matches, CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.
Greece is now hosting the Netherlands in Thessaloniki on Thursday.
Earlier, Greece opened their UEFA Nations League, League A Group 2 campaign with a 2-1 comeback win over Serbia at Rajko Mitić Stadion in Belgrade.
