Romania secures three final spots at Artistic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup

Three Romanian gymnasts qualified for finals on Saturday at the Artistic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup in Paris, held at the Accor Arena, the final stage of the circuit.

Romania will be represented in the vault final by Sabrina Maneca Voinea and Adelina Ionescu. In qualifying, Maneca Voinea recorded the fifth-highest average score, 13.100 points, after scoring 13.600 on her first vault and 12.600 on her second. Ionescu finished eighth with an average of 12.775, scoring 13.000 on her first vault and 12.150 on her second, CE Report quotes AGERPRES.

Maria Ceplinschi qualified for the floor exercise final after finishing seventh with 12.800 points. Sabrina Maneca Voinea placed 17th with 12.050.

On balance beam, Ceplinschi finished 15th in qualifying with 11.650 points, while Adelina Ionescu placed 28th on the uneven bars with 11.100.

The finals will take place on Sunday.
