Adam Sandler films “Grown Ups 3” in Italy's Turin

Turin is looking a little French, at least for a few days.

The city center has been transformed into the set of “Grown Ups 3,” the latest installment of the American comedy franchise starring Adam Sandler, CE Report quotes ANSA.

The actor arrived in Turin alongside several familiar cast members, including Chris Rock and Kevin James. Their presence quickly attracted the attention of passersby and fans, who gathered near the set hoping to catch a glimpse of the stars and take photographs.

Alongside Sandler and Rock, the film also features Salma Hayek, Steve Buscemi, Rob Schneider and David Spade.

The movie brings back the stars of the franchise that began with “Grown Ups” in 2010 and continued with a sequel three years later. The new story will reunite the characters for another adventure, this time partly set in Europe.

While much of the filming is taking place away from public view, fans have been trying to catch glimpses of the production. Sandler also took time to greet those gathered nearby with a simple “Ciao ragazzi,” or “Hi guys.”

“Grown Ups 3” is expected to be released in 2027.

Via Roma has undergone one of the most noticeable transformations, with signs and set decorations designed to make the street resemble the French capital. Piazza San Carlo has also been reimagined as one of the film’s Parisian locations.

The production has filled central Turin with details intended to recreate a Paris setting, ranging from French names and storefront signs to references to landmarks and elements associated with Parisian culture.

Filming began on September 29 and is expected to continue over the coming days. In addition to Via Roma and Piazza San Carlo, the production will shoot in Via Principe Amedeo and Via Eleonora Duse, as well as areas near some of the city’s major museums.

The production is being supported by the Torino Film Commission and is scheduled to involve several days of filming, with temporary changes to traffic and access in affected areas.

Turin is no stranger to hosting international film productions, but the arrival of a Hollywood cast has nevertheless turned the city center into an attraction for residents and tourists.
