GTA 6 sparks online debate ahead of release
It is almost time for “Grand Theft Auto 6” to hit the screens of its millions of fans. But as anticipation for the new installment grows, GTA 6 is already generating plenty of online debate.
The video game’s developer, Rockstar North, recently reminded members of the cast not to discuss their involvement in the project or share “how I got the role” stories before the game’s release, while also limiting official interviews with the cast. Meanwhile, the studio has confirmed an entirely new system for adapting animations, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
Studio co-head Rob Nelson told IGN in an interview that the team feels the enormous pressure that comes with the nearly 30-year legacy of the series, describing the new title as “a step forward in every aspect.”
Based on what has been revealed so far, footage from hands-on sessions has showcased an extraordinary level of interaction within the game, adding to its entertainment value. The level of detail reportedly extends to features such as Jason being able to shave his beard in front of mirrors.
Players will also be able to follow the relationship between characters Jason and Lucia through a dynamic romance system, which can develop as either a romantic relationship or a close friendship and partnership.
One of the most talked-about aspects, however, has been the reaction of some women online to the game’s characters. Lucia, portrayed as a highly attractive character, will require attention and interaction from players. This has prompted jokes and concern among some female gamers, who say their partners may end up spending more time taking care of the virtual character’s appearance than spending time with their real-life girlfriends.
“Grand Theft Auto 6” is scheduled to be released on November 19 this year for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
