Bulgarian high jumper claims silver at World Athletics Indoor Tour
Bulgaria's Tihomir Ivanov placed second in the men's division of the 2026 Udin Jump Development, a World Athletics Indoor Tour bronze-level high jump meet held in Udine, Italy.
Ivanov, who was named Bulgaria's best track-and-field athlete in 2024 and won the tournament in Udine in 2025, jumped 216 cm on Wednesday, the same height as the one cleared by the winner, Eugenio Meloni of Italy, CE Report quotes BTA.
That was Ivanov's second competition this year after a tournament on January 24 in Athens, where he reached the same height, 2.16 cm. His personal best is 2.31 cm.
