“Inter” Milan to open academy in Albania

Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports Blendi Gonxhja held a meeting with Chairman and CEO of Italian football club “Inter” Milan Giuseppe Marotta and Juxhin Rama, director of “Inter” Club Albania on materializing plan of opening an official Inter academy in Albania.

This academy will aim to develop young talents, involve the community and build a new multifunctional sports ground in Tirana, CE Report quotes ATA.

Minister Gonxhja wrote in the social media that, “The talks focused on establishment of a strategic cooperation aimed at improving the standards and creating opportunities for young football talents in Albania and the region”.

“We agreed on the final steps and very soon Mr. Marotta is expected to visit Albania to formalize our cooperation. This is an important development for Albanian sport in partnership with a global brand and a cornerstone for the sports education of future generations”, said Gonxhja.

This project would not only be a sports collaboration, but also a comprehensive social and educational initiative, which would directly connect the legendary “Inter” with local and regional sports fans.
