Kastrioti wins Kosovo junior handball title
Kastrioti has been crowned junior champions of Kosovo in handball after a dramatic final against Besa Famgas.
The final of the Kosovo U20 Junior Handball League took place on Monday evening at the “Jeton Tërstena – Tota” hall in Vushtrri, delivering a closely contested match that went down to the wire, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
Kastrioti secured a narrow 39–38 victory, despite Besa Famgas holding the lead until after the 40th minute. The team from Ferizaj then took control of the game, at times building a lead of up to three goals. In the end, they managed to preserve a one-goal advantage to claim the championship title.
Ledri Mustafa was one of the standout performers for Kastrioti, scoring 13 goals, while Diolen Ajvazi added 12 and Edonis Saiti contributed eight. For Besa Famgas, Ilir Istrefaj scored 11 goals, while Ajan Muqolli added 10 in a strong but ultimately unsuccessful effort.
The championship trophy was presented to Kastrioti captain by Xhavit Morina, vice president of the Handball Federation of Kosovo.
