Ukrainian boxer Taras Shelestyuk has won the WBO International title in the welterweight division.

According to LuckyPunch, during the main event of the boxing card in Manta, Ecuador, the Ukrainian defeated local boxer Andrés Muñoz, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.

The fight went the full ten rounds. At the end, the judges unanimously awarded the victory to Shelestyuk.

Thus, 40-year-old Taras won the WBO International welterweight title and maintained his undefeated record as a professional boxer—22 wins (12 by knockout) and 1 draw.

For Shelestyuk, this championship title is his first since 2016. At that time, the Ukrainian held the WBO NABO welterweight title.

In amateur boxing, Taras competed on the Ukrainian national team alongside Oleksandr Usyk, Vasyl Lomachenko, Oleksandr Gvozdyk, and Denys Berinchyk.
