Trump links future Hormuz tolls to outcome of ceasefire deal
There will be no tolls in the Strait of Hormuz for 60 days during the Cease Fire Period.
U.S. President Donald Trump wrote about this in Truth Social, CE Report informs.
"There will be NO TOLLS after the 60 day period has expired, unless they are imposed by and for the United States of America, should the deal not be completed, for services rendered as the Guardian Angel to the countries of the Middle East for purposes of both past, present, and future reimbursement of costs," he wrote.
Earlier, Iran's Supreme National Security Council said in a statement that the country will not charge fees for the provision of any services in the Strait of Hormuz for 60 days.
Even earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump has confirmed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran.
