Albania stands with Saudi Arabia against Houthi security threats

Albania strongly condemned threats issued by the Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia, including threats to impose a naval blockade.

In a statement posted on social media, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs said the provocative and escalatory actions further destabilise the region, CE Report quotes ATA.

According to the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, these actions threaten freedom of navigation and the security of maritime routes in the Red Sea, while undermining international efforts to achieve peace and stability in Yemen.

“Albania stands firmly alongside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its regional partners in addressing threats to regional security and international navigation, and remains committed to supporting international efforts aimed at promoting peace, stability and security in the region,” the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs said in its statement.
