Ukraine, Slovenia work on drone deal during Kyiv talks

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed preparations for the Drone Deal and Ukraine’s future in a united Europe with a Slovenian government delegation.

The head of state announced this on the social media platform X, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.

“Today, a government delegation from Slovenia is in Kyiv, together with representatives of their leading companies. I met with Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tone Kajzer and Minister of Defense Valentin Hajdinjak. “Our countries are working on the Drone Deal, and we discussed the first results and joint defense projects that we can implement,” Zelensky said.

According to him, the meeting also addressed Ukraine’s future in a united Europe, security in the region, and ongoing Russian attacks. The president expressed gratitude for Slovenia’s $50 million contribution to the PURL and for all its support.

“We are deeply grateful for this respect shown to all our people and to our warriors who gave their lives defending Ukraine and all of Europe. Today, together, we honored their memory with a moment of silence…,” the head of state noted.

As reported, Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Janša stated that Ukraine is the only country in Europe capable of waging a new type of war.
