The well-known American late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel, in a speech broadcast today on the British television channel Channel 4, said that 2025 has been, “from a fascist point of view,” a “very good year” in the United States, CE Report quotes ANSA.

“Honestly, I don’t think I have the slightest idea what is going on here in your country, but I do know what’s happening back home, and I can tell you that, from a fascist point of view, it’s been a very positive year,” he said at the beginning of his address.
“Tyranny is thriving where we live,” he added.

“I’m telling you this story because you might be thinking, oh, a government that silences its critics is something that happens in places like Russia or North Korea… not in the United Kingdom. Well, that’s what we thought too. And now we have King Donnie VIII calling for executions,” he joked, alluding to Henry VIII. He also emphasized that his show has returned “stronger than ever” and that he has won the challenge, as his contract has been extended until mid-2027.

As reported by CE Report, Kimmel appealed to the British public not to abandon Americans.

“We’re going through a bit of a rough patch, but we’ll recover. It might not seem like it, but we love you guys,” he said.

Since 1993, Channel 4 has broadcast an alternative Christmas message each year instead of the British monarch’s traditional address. This year, the broadcaster chose Jimmy Kimmel, one of the leading stars of late-night television. His show had been briefly suspended in September after he accused the American right of politically exploiting the assassination of Charlie Kirk, a supporter and influencer of Donald Trump.
