Israel-Lebanon talks to resume in Rome soon
A new round of talks between Israel and Lebanon will take place in Rome in early September, the U.S. State Department said in a statement, without specifying an exact date, CE Report quotes ANSA.
“The political track will reconvene in Rome in early September, and conversations will continue in Beirut, Jerusalem and Washington in the interim,” a U.S. official said. “We feel good about the trajectory” of the process.
The upcoming meeting follows the latest round of U.S.-mediated discussions in Rome, which focused on implementing the framework for Israeli troop withdrawals, security arrangements and the establishment of pilot zones in southern Lebanon.
