Tajani warns Germany: 'You don’t build Europe by excluding Italy'

Politics

“The choice made by the German Socialists is anti-European. It’s pointless for them to claim to be pro-European: when they try to divide Europe — which, instead, must be united in this moment — they are making a very serious mistake.”

This is what Antonio Tajani said on Cinque Minuti regarding the SPD’s decision to exclude Italy from Germany’s strategic partners, CE Report quotes ANSA.

“Italy is a historic interlocutor of Germany,” he added, “and Merz certainly wants to have an excellent relationship with Italy. We also have a series of initiatives planned between Forza Italia and the CDU-CSU precisely to strengthen this bond, and I hope the Italian left distances itself from this colossal foolishness.”
