Climate change represents an unprecedented challenge, with its impact transcending national borders, president Klaus Iohannis said in his message on Tuesday that was presented at the opening of the "Climate Change Summit," showing that it is imperative for the authorities to work together both nationally and internationally to find solutions and tackle climate change in an effective way, CE Report quotes Agerpres

"Climate change represents an unprecedented challenge the impact of which transcends national borders. Extreme weather events occur around the world, affecting our communities and well-being. In just a few months, Romania faced heat waves, periods of prolonged drought and extensive floods. In this context, it is imperative that we work together both nationally and internationally to find solutions and tackle climate change effectively. The "Climate Change Summit," now in its third edition, supports the process of searching and identifying solutions with optimism and determination,'' said the head of state, in his message presented at the event by state councillor Alexandra-Maria Bocse.
