Musk Threatens New Party Over Spending Bill

Elon Musk has intensified his opposition to President Trump’s proposed omnibus spending bill, vowing to create a new political party if Congress approves the legislation, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

Calling it “insane spending,” Musk slammed the bill for raising the debt ceiling by $5 trillion, claiming it proves the U.S. is run by a “Porky Pig Party.”

“If this bill passes, the America Party will be formed the next day,” Musk said on X, adding that voters need an alternative to both Republicans and Democrats.

He also criticized lawmakers who campaigned on fiscal responsibility but support the bill, warning they will lose primaries next year.

Musk first floated the idea of a new party in May, asking followers if it was time to create one that represents “the 80% in the middle.” The proposed name, “America Party,” echoes his previously launched America PAC, which backed Trump and GOP candidates in 2024.
