Greece Rejects Turkish-Libyan Maritime Deal

Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis told Parliament on Monday that the Turkish-Libyan maritime memorandum is "invalid and unsubstantiated" under international law. Responding to a question from independent MP Marios Salmas, Gerapetritis stressed that any maritime delimitation must align with the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonia

Ahead of his upcoming visit to Libya, the minister said he had invited Libyan officials for talks and reaffirmed Greece’s commitment to good neighborly relations.
