Moldova Simplifies License Exchange

Moldova Simplifies License Exchange

Moldova

Moldovan citizens living permanently in Italy and Latvia will now be able to exchange their driving licenses without taking additional exams. The government has approved agreements with both countries to streamline the process, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

These deals aim to improve citizen mobility, simplify license conversion, and strengthen bilateral ties. The same rules will apply to Italian and Latvian citizens residing in Moldova.

“We continue to expand the list of countries with which we have signed such agreements,” said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.

Moldova already has similar agreements with Israel, Turkey, Albania, Spain, Lithuania, and Greece. A deal with France has been signed and is pending implementation. A declaration with Germany allows for license exchange after a practical exam.
