Kosovo extends deadline for sexual violence claims

The Government of the Republic of Kosovo held an electronic meeting today, during which it amended and supplemented the government decision that extends the mandate of the Government Commission for the Recognition and Verification of the Status of Persons Violated During the Kosovo Liberation War until May 15, 2028, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

Meanwhile, with this amendment, the deadline to submit a request for the recognition of the status of victims of sexual violence during the war is extended until May 15, 2027.

"Point 1.6 of Government Decision No. 16/48 dated 7.12.2020 is replaced with the following text: 'Ms. Kimete Haxholli, Head of the Division for Processing and Archiving at IKKL'," the announcement states.
