Kosovo's acting Minister of Youth and Sports, Blerim Gashani, presented the country's vision for hosting the 2030 Mediterranean Games in Paris during the RIGES 2026 conference, describing the event as the largest development project in the history of Kosovo's sports sector.

According to Gashani, the 2030 Mediterranean Games will be more than just a sporting event. He said they will serve as a catalyst for strategic investments, the construction of modern infrastructure, youth empowerment, economic development, and the advancement of sports diplomacy, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

He stressed that hosting the event would place Kosovo among the organizers of major international sporting events and demonstrate that the country is ready to host competitions that meet the highest international standards.

"Our message is clear: Kosovo is open to partnerships, expertise, innovation, and international cooperation. The success of the Mediterranean Games will be built on trust, friendship, and cooperation with our partners," Gashani said.

The acting minister added that the journey toward 2030 has already begun, describing it as the start of a new era for Kosovo's sports sector, its youth, and the country's international image.

"The 2030 Mediterranean Games have already begun. Now is the time to build together a legacy that will remain for future generations," he concluded.
