Orlen Boosts LNG Supplies to Ukraine

Energy

Polish energy company Orlen has signed its fourth gas supply deal this year with Ukraine’s Naftogaz, the company announced. The US-sourced LNG will be regasified at the Swinoujscie terminal in Poland before being sent to Ukraine, helping ensure energy stability ahead of the heating season, CE Report quotes PAP

The total volume of the previous three contracts amounts to around 300 million cubic metres.

Orlen’s deputy CEO Robert Soszynski said the initiative aligns with the EU's REPowerEU programme, highlighting that Orlen has not imported gas from Russia for over three years and now supports energy independence efforts in countries like Ukraine and Slovakia.

Orlen has operated in Ukraine for over 20 years and is currently the country’s largest fuel supplier.
