The meeting was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, with a special focus on strengthening cooperation in the fields of healthcare, science and culture. The interlocutors emphasized the importance of enhancing regional partnerships and exchanging experiences in the process of European integration and the implementation of joint development priorities.

Particular attention was dedicated to Montenegro’s chairmanship of the Berlin Process in 2026, within which a forum dedicated to cultural and creative industries will be organized. It was assessed that this event will represent an important platform for connecting institutions, exchanging good practices and further strengthening regional cooperation in the field of the creative economy.

As part of the planned activities, special emphasis will be placed on youth employment, the development of digital skills, as well as strengthening economic potential through cultural tourism, festivals, gastronomy and other related activities.

During the meeting, it was highlighted that Bosnia and Herzegovina possesses significant potential in the field of cultural and creative industries. The country participates in the European Union’s “Creative Europe” programme, while through the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, the creative potential of local communities has gained international recognition – Sarajevo as a City of Film, Banja Luka as a City of Music, and Trebinje as a candidate in the field of gastronomy.

The interlocutors agreed that cultural and creative industries represent an important resource for economic development, the promotion of cultural diversity and the creation of new employment opportunities, especially for young people.
