Representatives of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA), Dr. Maida Bećirović and Stipo Djak, held a meeting with the Consul General of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Istanbul, Dragan Mihaljević, and Consul Enis Komar to discuss further activities aimed at increasing the inflow of direct foreign investments from Türkiye to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the meeting, they discussed the large number of trade fairs held in Türkiye, particularly in Istanbul and Bursa, where Bosnian companies and investment project holders could present and promote themselves to Turkish investors and companies.

FIPA, on the other hand, would use these events to showcase investment potential, projects, and locations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, CE Report informs via FIPA's official website.

The Consul General will timely inform and coordinate with FIPA regarding important investment meetings and trade fairs in Istanbul and across Türkiye, and proposed joint participation, especially at fairs in Bursa, where Bosnia and Herzegovina’s investment potential could be additionally promoted.

Given that the Consulate General has developed contacts with businesspeople and chambers of commerce in Istanbul and across Türkiye, it was agreed to jointly work on attracting Turkish investors to Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as connecting them with Bosnian project holders through various meetings, contacts, and participation in forums, summits, and fairs.

There are a large number of companies in Türkiye founded by people originating from Bosnia and Herzegovina that are ready for cooperation and further strengthening of business ties between the two countries.

FIPA emphasized its readiness to continue activities promoting investment opportunities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the advantages of investing, as well as presenting concrete investment projects and locations to Turkish companies.
