Bursa remains Türkiye's leading automotive manufacturing hub in H1 2026
Türkiye's automotive hub Bursa produced 238,850 vehicles in the first half of 2026, reaffirming its position as one of the country's leading manufacturing centers.
According to data compiled by Anadolu Agency from the Automotive Manufacturers Association (OSD), total automotive production by OSD member companies, including tractors, reached 673,611 units nationwide between January and June, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency.
During the six-month period, OYAK Renault produced 161,042 vehicles, TOFAŞ manufactured 77,449, and Karsan produced 359 vehicles at their factories in Bursa.
With 238,850 vehicles rolling off production lines, Bursa accounted for 35.5 percent of Türkiye's total automotive output during the first half of the year. On average, the city produced 1,319.6 vehicles per day.
Nationwide, Ford Otosan was the largest vehicle producer during the period with 222,109 units, followed by OYAK Renault in second place and Toyota in third with 102,185 vehicles.
Bursa accounts for 29 percent of vehicle exports
A total of 469,205 vehicles produced in Türkiye were exported during the January–June period.
As the country responsible for more than one-third of national vehicle production, Bursa also played a major role in exports. During the first six months of the year, 136,065 vehicles—equivalent to 57 percent of the city's production—were shipped abroad.
Bursa accounted for 29 percent of Türkiye's total vehicle exports.
During the period, OYAK Renault exported 96,322 vehicles, while TOFAŞ shipped 39,378 vehicles to international markets.
Nationally, Ford Otosan remained the leading vehicle exporter with 193,276 units, followed by OYAK Renault, Toyota with 66,199 vehicles, and Hyundai Motor Türkiye, which exported 57,559 vehicles.
