Starting on January 31, Venice was transformed into a multifaceted stage that hosted visitors from all corners of the world, who took part in parades, theatre performances, concerts, artistic moments and water parades.

This year’s edition successfully blended the mythological origins of the Games with the contemporary relevance of the Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games. It concluded on Tuesday with the final greeting in Piazza San Marco by the girl named “Maria of the Carnival,” Martine Diop Bullo, the parade of allegorical floats in Zelarino and the last show in the “The Call of Olympia” series at Arsenale di Venezia, which delighted the audience with a story of light and fire.

The event culminated in masked parties held in various historic venues.
