Bulgaria to showcase culture at Multiculturalism Day Festival in Canada
Bulgaria will participate in the Multiculturalism Day Festival to be held on June 27 at Memorial Peace Park in Maple Ridge, British Columbia. The event is expected to attract more than 5,000 visitors, said the Bulgarian-Canadian Society in British Columbia.
The festival program includes cultural performances, traditional cuisine presentations, children's activities, a traditional costume show, and other initiatives highlighting cultural diversity, CE Report quotes BTA.
Bulgaria will be represented with a cultural and crafts pavilion. Bulgarian folk dance groups Kitka and Zornitsa will perform during the event.
The Bulgarian-Canadian Society of British Columbia invited visitors to join the celebration of diversity, culture, and color. Founded in 2001 by Bulgarians living in Vancouver and the surrounding region in Canada, the organization works to preserve Bulgarian traditions and culture while supporting the local Bulgarian community through social, educational, cultural, and business initiatives.
