Paul McCartney addresses COP30 organizers
Paul McCartney has urged the organizers of COP30 to offer vegetarian meals.
He said that serving meat at a Climate Summit is “like handing out cigarettes at a cancer prevention conference.”
The Beatles legend has long been an activist for vegetarianism and animal rights, CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.
McCartney, who works closely with PETA — People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals — made the statement ahead of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP30), which is taking place in Belém, Brazil, from November 10 to 21.
