Dutch airline KLM has cancelled its flights to Tel Aviv scheduled for today and tomorrow due to rising tensions in the region.

According to Israel’s private Channel 12, KLM made a sudden decision to suspend the Tel Aviv flights planned for today and tomorrow because of the regional situation, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency.

The channel also reported that the airline has cancelled some upcoming flights to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. However, KLM has not issued an official statement regarding the reasons for the cancellations or how long they will last.

Last week, German airline Lufthansa announced that it had imposed restrictions on its Middle East flights amid concerns over a possible escalation of tensions between the United States and Iran.

Israel’s state broadcasters have stated that there are assessments suggesting the United States could carry out a possible strike against Iran in the coming days.
