Kosovo's Blerina Muhaxheri honored at international Art Shopping exhibition in Paris

Kosovo artist Blerina Muhaxheri has received a certificate of recognition for artistic merit during her participation in the international Art Shopping exhibition at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris.

The exhibition brings together artists from around the world and attracts thousands of visitors, providing an international platform for contemporary artistic expression, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

Muhaxheri, known in the art world as Blersarts, presented works inspired by Albanian culture, history and traditions.

Her artistic approach combines three techniques: palette knife painting, brushwork and three-dimensional (3D) relief, giving traditional Albanian motifs a contemporary interpretation.

Celebrating Albanian cultural heritage

The figure of the Albanian woman dressed in traditional clothing has long been a central theme in Muhaxheri’s work.

For her presentation in Paris, however, the artist chose to portray an Albanian man as a symbol of strength, resilience and the shared responsibility of preserving cultural heritage.

Through this approach, Muhaxheri aims to highlight the cultural significance of traditional Albanian clothing while exploring its place in contemporary art.

“For me, it is a very special feeling to see that my art, inspired by our Albanian traditions, is being welcomed and appreciated internationally,” she said.

“I am very happy that through my paintings I have the opportunity to present a part of our culture to an international audience,” the artist added.

Growing international recognition

Muhaxheri continues to use her artwork to showcase the beauty of traditional clothing and the values associated with Albanian cultural heritage.

Her participation in the Paris exhibition follows invitations to international art events in Milan and Vienna.

The recognition at the Carrousel du Louvre marks another milestone in her artistic career, bringing her culturally inspired work to a wider international audience.
