Adriatic Croatia among top three EU regions for online short-term rentals

Adriatic Croatia ranked second among EU regions in demand for short-term tourist accommodation booked via online platforms in the second quarter of 2025, behind Spain's Andalusia and ahead of France's Île-de-France, according to Eurostat data.

Andalusia was the most popular region for short-stay accommodation booked through online platforms in the second quarter of 2025, recording 13.3 million overnight stays, CE Report quotes HINA.

Adriatic Croatia followed with 9.6 million nights, while Île-de-France ranked third with 9 million.

The 20 most popular tourist regions for summer 2025 accommodation booked via online platforms were spread across five EU countries: six regions each in Spain and France, five in Italy, two in Portugal and one in Croatia.
