Albania breaks tourism record in 2025
By the end of 2025, Albania broke the previous year’s record, surpassing 12 million foreign passport holders visiting the country.
The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport, Blendi Gonxhja, described the figure today as a result that confirms Albania’s consolidation as a year-round tourist destination, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
Gonxhja said that “Albania enjoys sustained interest beyond the summer season, with diverse offers in cultural, nature-based, culinary, sports tourism and more, strengthening its position on the international tourism map.”
Albania has transformed into a year-round tourism destination, offering attractions of all kinds.
In the south, pebble beaches and crystal-clear waters attract the largest number of visitors, while in the north many tourists head to Theth and Valbona. Gjirokastër, Berat, Butrint, Krujë, Tirana, Shkodër and other cities are sought-after destinations in every season for historical and cultural tourism, ATSh reports.
As reported by CE Report, museums and national parks also attracted hundreds of thousands of tourists throughout 2025.
