Sarajevo, Girona confirm direct flight launching in 2026

A delegation from the Sarajevo Canton, led by Minister of Economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zlatko Mijatović, visited Girona this week to discuss ongoing cooperation between the two regions.

During the visit, the delegation met with Gemma Geis, Deputy Speaker of the Government of Girona, and Joan Plana, Deputy President of the Costa Brava Girona Tourism Board, CE Report quotes FENA.

The meetings focused on expanding economic and tourism ties, with both sides emphasizing the importance of direct connectivity.

As part of their cooperation, a direct flight between Sarajevo and Girona has been confirmed to launch in 2026, a move expected to boost tourism and business exchanges between the two regions.
