14 km from the city of Vlorë, Zvërnec has in recent years become one of the most visited tourist spots in Albania, CE Report quotes ATA.

Prime Minister Edi Rama today shared on social media several photos by Alexander Uhrin from Slovakia, who participated in the International Photography and Video Reels Competition “Wanderlust in Albania 2” and is one of the winners of the award “Ambassador for the Promotion of Albanian Tourism.”

The “Wanderlust in Albania” International Photography and Video Reels Competition returned for its second year, following the success of the first edition, showcasing Albania's beauty through the eyes of travelers and visitors via the photos and reels they captured during their trips across the country.

Photographers and videographers (both professionals and amateurs) from Albania and 36 countries around the world submitted stunning images and footage, revealing Albania’s natural beauty and its cultural and historical heritage.

Among them were images by the Slovak photographer Alexander Uhrin, who chose to promote Zvërnec—one of the natural destinations that increasingly attracts visitors with its unique charm.

Thanks to recent investments and the construction of a bridge, many tourists now choose to spend sunny days in all seasons on the beautiful island, located within the Narta Lagoon.

In addition to its natural beauty, Zvërnec also draws special interest for the Monastery of St. Mary, located on the island and accessible via a narrow wooden pedestrian bridge. The monastery is a typical Byzantine construction, built in the 10th century AD. Its architecture, history, and legends make it an appealing destination throughout the year.
