Facebook, Instagram experience global outage
Facebook and Instagram were affected by a global outage on Sunday, with users in several countries reporting difficulties accessing the platforms, particularly through desktop browsers.
As of now, Meta has not provided an official explanation for the incident, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES.
Most user reports concern browser access, where a temporary technical error message appears during the login process. The mobile applications for Facebook and Instagram, however, appear to be operating more reliably, according to users.
So far, Meta has not publicly commented on the cause of the disruption or provided a timeline for restoring full service.
The company has experienced several global service outages in the past. The most recent major disruption occurred in June 2026, when access to multiple Meta services was interrupted for several hours.
