Kosovo FA issues multiple suspensions after disciplinary breaches in round 28
The first-instance Disciplinary and Ethics Commission of Kosovo, at its meeting held on April 17, reviewed the procedures initiated by the Competition Commission following the completion of Round 28 matches in the Albi Mall Superliga, Round 28 of the Raiffeisen First League, as well as other league tiers for the 2025/2026 season.
KF Llapi was sanctioned with one home match to be played without fans, fined €2,000, and ordered to compensate damages caused to the visiting club within the prescribed deadline, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
These penalties come after incidents during the match against KF Drenica, where serious organizational failures and inappropriate behavior by home fans were recorded. According to the official report, there were continuous insults, objects thrown onto the pitch and toward visiting players, as well as post-match attacks, including damage to the visiting team’s bus.
Meanwhile, Luan Alija, assistant coach of KF Ferizaj, was suspended for two matches after receiving a red card for insulting referees in the match against KF Drita.
Players of KF Vëllaznimi, Arbër Shala and Drilon Cenaj, were each banned for two matches after being sent off in the match against KF Dinamo Ferizaj for unsportsmanlike conduct and illegal interference from the bench to stop an opposing attack.
Assistant coach of FC Ballkani, Radostin Aleksandrov, received a three-match suspension in cup competitions and a €1,000 fine after addressing the referee with offensive and nationalist remarks following his red card in the match against KF Dukagjini.
Argjend Mahmuti of KF Ferizaj was also suspended for two matches after receiving a red card for reacting toward the referee in the match against Llapi.
Parties dissatisfied with the decisions have the right to appeal to the Appeals Commission within the prescribed deadline, but filing an appeal does not suspend the execution of the decision.
