New York Knicks’ Robinson doubtful for NBA Finals opener
New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson is questionable for Game 1 of the NBA Finals, which begins against the San Antonio Spurs.
Robinson underwent surgery on the little finger of his right hand, CE Report quotes MIA.
The player fractured the finger during the Eastern Conference playoff finals series against the Cleveland Cavaliers and subsequently required surgery.
U.S. media report that Robinson is eager to play, but the final decision will be made by the Knicks' medical staff. Head coach Mike Brown stated that the player has been working individually in training sessions.
During the regular season, Robinson averaged 5.7 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. In the playoffs, he averaged 5.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
