Slovenian ski jumping star Nika Prevc is officially in the history books.

With a commanding victory in Lahti, Finland, the 20-year-old secured her third consecutive World Cup overall title with six events still remaining on the calendar, CE Report quotes The Slovenia Times.

Prevc's latest triumph places her in rare company. She becomes just the third ski jumper in history, and only the second woman, to pull off a "three-peat" of overall titles. The only others to achieve the feat are Polish legend Adam Malysz (2000-2003) and Norway's Maren Lundby (2017-2020).

At just 20, and fresh from winning a trio of medals at the Milano Cortina Games, Prevc is already chasing the all-time greats. She is now just one title shy of the record for most career Crystal Globes, currently shared by Sara Takanashi, Matti Nykänen, and Malysz, who each hold four.

In Lahti, Prevc posted the top distance in both rounds to claim her 15th victory of the season and the 37th of her career. The win ties her own single-season record (shared with Takanashi), a mark she is almost certain to shatter in the coming weeks.

"I'm super happy today!" Prevc told the FIS following the event. "I have great memories of Lahti, so I arrived at the hill feeling good this morning... this day could not have been better."

The eyes of the ski jumping world are now on a potential family sweep: Nika's older brother, Domen Prevc, is on the verge of securing the men's overall crown.

If he closes the deal, the Prevc siblings will complete an unprecedented grand slam of the sport's major titles in a single season.
